There hasn’t been any official release for the Path of Exile 2 PC Game yet, but as per the sources say, the setting of the game will be based on their predecessor Path of Exile. You could also see a rework within the passive skill tree system. The character models have been majorly reworked. Some additional changes to the game will be seen in the visual rework of the game. The skills that would now be granted as per the character’s level. Like the previous installment, these classes wouldn’t be available through the labyrinths, instead, these can be unlocked through the Campaign mode. These new classes are said to be exclusive to the new storylines.

When you will download Path of Exile 2, you will get to see a completely new set of 19 Ascendancy classes. What is going to change will be the skill gem system? In the new installment, the gem sockets have been removed from the equipment section and moved to the active skill gem system. The player has to take this character through several areas that include various caves and dungeons. Players will control their in-game character through an overhead perspective. Of course there’s a big difference between considering a feature and actually implementing it, especially with something as challenging and complex as crossplay.Path of Exile 2 is going to be the second installment in the series, its predecessor being Path of Exile. According to a report by Wccftech, GGG’s Chris Wilson has stated that crossplay is something the team is considering. While nothing is confirmed regarding crossplay (or cross-progression) in the upcoming sequel, there at least seems to be a glimmer of hope. This is a nice option, although it only helps a (very) small percentage of players. There is still the same small caveat for PC and Mac players, as save data will transfer from one to the other. It also seems unlikely that crossplay will be implemented to the game this long after its initial release in 2013, especially with Grinding Gear Games focusing so many resources on the development of Path of Exile 2.Īs expected for a game with no crossplay, Path of Exile also doesn’t offer any sort of cross-progression. Otherwise, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players have no available options to play with each other. That is, unless you consider Mac and PC separate platforms, since players on both can play together.
